5,000 homeopathic doctors.
The very exercise of homeopathy is highly regulated in France: only doctors registered with the Council of the Order can claim the title of homeopath after specific training. Since last April 1st, this training is homogenized through the European standard EN 16872, “In order to ensure that only properly trained doctors who actually practice homeopathic medicine can avail themselves of this title,” says Dr. Renoux. The teaching of homeopathy is done both in several French universities and in a group of private schools.
