Dear members of EFHPA,
A seemingly uncontrollable flood of news about the corona crisis currently dominates our everyday life.
Rightly so, because we must take the warnings seriously, we must not underestimate the danger.
Every hour we see new figures from our country, from around the world. The situation is dynamic for the time being.
But there are also rays of hope.
People are helping each other, neighborhood aid is flourishing again,
in Italy and Spain people are singing on balconies, whole metropolises –
Rome, Madrid!
– make appointments to applaud those who tirelessly avert the worst: the doctors and nurses.
And outside, spring is awakening. The sun is already shining brightly.
And as the light increases, so does the hope and confidence that we
should reflect on.
Each and every one of us is called upon to help shape the situation.
We hope that we, as a world community, as a society and in our social
environment, will join forces to seize the opportunities that have
already arisen from these times and will continue to grow.
May they be greater and more powerful than the crisis itself!
