HRI: scientific evidence for homeopathy

https://www.hri-research.org/resources/homeopathy-faqs/there-is-no-scientific-evidence-homeopathy-works/

July 2017.

The Homeopathy Research Institute HRI publishes an online article on 189 randomised controlled trials (RCT’s) on 100 different medical conditions, published in peer-reviewed journals. 41% of these were shown to be positive, meaning that treatments were likely to be beneficial, 54% inconclusive and 5% negative.
In comparison, an analysis of 1016 systematic reviews of RCT’s of conventional medicine showed that 44% of treatments were likely to be beneficial, with 49% inconclusive and 7% being negative.
The article highlights the disparity in the number of individual trials in homeopathy which is largely due to the lack of funding. In the UK less than 0.01% of medical research funding is spent on Complementary and Alternative Medicine such as Homeopathy.
